This motivational book can be a good guide to create awareness of the importance of discipline to attain success in a profession as demanding as being a professional baseball player. The book illustrates, by way of anecdotes, that firm conviction and strength of spirit are needed to attain desired goals.
Of all this book’s sections, I particularly recommend the chapter on “Scouting.” This subject, developed with great professionalism, will be a great aid to rookie scouts who want to do a good job in the quest for new talents for professional baseball. I believe that this part should be obligatory reading for anyone wanting to professionally and responsibly practice the art of discerning if someone has the tools required to be considered a good candidate to sign as a professional ball player.
