Crossing the ocean on foot
All for a dream
When young Esteban felt that sadness would finish him because of his brother’s death, he decided not to let himself be defeated. So, he lifted his head and took control of his life, triggering, with that decision, a potential that he didn’t know he had. He decided to recall memories to know everything about his childhood. In that trance, he realized that he hated what his father taught him to do: to work the land as a farmer.
After turning thirteen, he began to live as an adult. A can do attitude invaded him, and he began to seek the means to improve his life, and most importantly, stop being a farmer. His desire to succeed made him think about his next step. Then, very early, he found an opportunity that led him in the right direction. He learned the art of hairdressing thanks to the advice he received from his brother Leoncio — the first in the family to know that occupation. When his parents moved to the capital, it caused Esteban to turn into a work machine — he performed different jobs to make a living. He sold bread on the street, he was a taxi driver and a hairdresser. He also studied to fulfill his great desire to succeed.
