Linda M. Rodríguez Guglielmoni skillfully achieves a second adaptation for young children with her story In the Paper Boat: The Adventure of María Angelina and her Papa Eugenio María de Hostos. She is an excellent writer of children’s stories that dives deep into Hostos’ thoughts and brings out the values promoted by this recognized educator. Moreover, she brings unto the stage her story using hand puppets that represent the characters and like this achieves that young children come aboard the Boat. To read her story or be part of her performance is a vital experience imbued with the values that are present in her adaptation, such as love, kindness, and compassion.
