The racism in the Dominican Republic
Misconception and misunderstanding of facts
So many versions about the situation going on between the Dominican Republic and Haiti that, it’s almost impossible to pin point the real issue between a mix of emotions, confusions, anger, misunderstanding plus, selfish politics and diplomatic interests ravaging both nations. The situation arises a little bit more with every day passing and becomes more complicated than it has to be. No one wants to take the blame and assume the responsibility to improve the quality of that inevitable relationship. Are we the victim or they are?
Get ready to go over the facts you already know about from another point of view. I don’t do politics nor I am racist although, this book is specially addressed to whoever believes Dominicans are racist against Haitians and I’m not looking to have a debate about it, that is why I have chosen to write this book instead of using any social media platform to address the matter.
I have let myself be inspired by Maurice Sixto style for a better approach however, you will not find any of the facts debating here funny like we all do with the MS’s references. A few will be offended; some will take side and disregard this book all together and other will dislike my approach but I chose to have faith anyways. Faith that, the same way I was able to see through the hiding messages behind every of Maurice Sixto’s stories, a few of my people will also get the point of this book.
I love my country Haiti deeply but I am also grateful for everything the Dominican Republic has given me.
